HEARING BENCH
// NINE SELF-DIAGNOSTICS FOR YOUR EARS
A hobbyist audiology bench in the browser. Not a medical test — no calibrated SPL, no clinical booth. What it can do is give you a repeatable relative reading of your own hearing shape.
!
Start with system volume LOW. Every test can play a loud tone if you push the level up. Wear headphones for anything involving left/right ear separation. Test in a quiet room. Stop immediately if any tone is uncomfortable.
High-Frequency Threshold
Slide the frequency up until the tone becomes inaudible, then back down until it returns. That crossing point is your HF cutoff — the classic age-hearing indicator. Speaker and headphone response above ~16 kHz varies wildly, so read this as a soft estimate.
12000Hz
